ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Workweek

Hey kiddo, have you heard about workweeks? It's a way that grown-ups organize their time when they have a job.

When someone has a job, they usually have to work for a certain amount of hours every week. That time is called a workweek.

A workweek usually has five days, from Monday to Friday. That's when most people have to go to work. Some people work on Saturdays too, and that makes their workweek six days long.

The number of hours in a workweek can vary from job to job. Some jobs require people to work 40 hours a week, and some others require more or less.

When grown-ups work during their workweek, they usually earn money that helps them pay for things like food, a home, and toys for their children.

That's it, kiddo, a workweek is just a way of organizing time when people have jobs.
