Yuga cycle

A Yuga Cycle is a repeating pattern of four different ages or periods of time in Hindu mythology. Each Yuga Cycle lasts for thousands of years and is divided into four parts, each one shorter than the last. The first part is called the Satya Yuga, and is a time of great peace and harmony when humanity is at its best. The next part is called the Treta Yuga, and is a time of conflict and unhappiness when people start to forget their (spiritual) values. The third part of a Yuga Cycle is the Dwapara Yuga, which is a time of spiritual progress and understanding, and when progress is made in new areas like religion, science, and technology. The last part is called the Kali Yuga, and is a time of darkness and suffering in which people become increasingly selfish and less spiritual. After the Kali Yuga, the cycle repeats itself, with the Satya Yuga coming again.
