ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Collective Responsibility

Collective responsibility is when a group of individuals is held responsible for something, even though no one individual is responsible. This means that even if one person wasn't responsible for the mistake, the whole group still has to face the consequences. An example of this is if the whole class didn't do please the teacher in some way, then the entire class would have to stay after school and finish the work.
