Piping and plumbing fittings

Alright kiddo, have you ever seen a straw? Just like how we use straws to drink from a cup, pipes are like straws that carry water, gas or other things around a building.

Now, sometimes the pipes need to bend, turn or connect to other pipes in order to get to where they need to go. That's where plumbing fittings come in.

Plumbing fittings are like building blocks that help connect pipes together. There are different types of fittings for different purposes.

For example, a coupler is like a straw connector that helps join two pipes together. An elbow is like a bendy straw that helps the pipe turn at an angle. A Tee fitting looks like a "T" and helps connect three pipes together at once.

So, just like how you can use different pieces of Lego to build a cool structure, plumbers use different types of fittings to build a plumbing system that works.
